Round, soft, with golden and crunchy edges, strictly seasoned with cherry tomatoes, olives, extra virgin olive oil and oregano: this is the focaccia bread of Puglia, good when just baked as well as if eaten the following day. Perfect for spring picnics, during the cold winter evenings as well as ideal snack for a day on the beach. The focaccia bread of Altamura is soft and fragrant like its famous bread and has exactly the same ingredients; you can even eat the one made on stone in the wood stove (“sulla chianca” = on stone), a lighter version seasoned with cherry tomatoes, oregano and extra virgin olive oil. Good snack for your children or with friends, also ideal if cut into cubes for an aperitif: it will be a success!!
